Stakeholder dialogues aim to enhance mutual learning by generating and evaluating divergent knowledge claims and viewpoints, i.e. problem structuring.
This is likely because of the diversity of the sample (the opportunity to comment was open to all members of the general public) and the range of different perspectives, knowledge bases and viewpoints likely to be represented. .

Moreover, the course can also benefit from the rich source of knowledge available from the students themselves, who can contribute their own personal experiences and viewpoints to discussions.
