It could be denial--all the time you know your truth, you can see your destiny and you know what it's going to be.
As German physician Albert Schweitzer once said, "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve". No one can discern the right path for you.
