Whether or not we believe in visions, we often believe in the principles communicated via visions: do not kill, do not steal, love God's creatures, kick invaders out of your country.
The catechism of the Catholic church doesn't offer a precise list of mortal sins, but it does approvingly recall a dialogue between Jesus and a young man in the New Testament which features a broadly accurate summary of the ten commandments: do not kill, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not lie or cheat, and "honour your father and mother".
Most of us, perhaps most of the time, successfully navigate moral problems arising in everyday life by means of various rules that have stood the test of time: e.g., keep your promises, do not kill, do not lie, etc.
It would be possible to include these paradigm examples of moral precepts, e.g., do not kill, do not lie, and help the needy, in the normative definition of morality, but it not necessary to do so, because the proposed definition is sufficient to guarantee that these paradigm moral precepts will be part of morality.

You must also follow the Noble 8-Fold Path, which is: Right Beliefs; Right Aspirations; Right Speech; Right Conduct; Right Livelihood; Right Effort; Right Mindfulness; Right Concentration Abide by the Five Precepts, which are: Do not kill; Do not steal; Do not engage in sexual misconduct; Do not lie; Do not get drunk.
What if some of the people she's ordered to kill don't deserve to die?
Don't kill, don't steal, don't bear false witness, and don't covet your neighbor's wife.
