Reg Keys recalls several phone calls from his son then.
Keys recalls, "There was a first phone call, and Jay hit me up like, 'I feel like I have this record that's going to be the anthem of New York'".
"I was just stumbling all over the keys," recalled Geraldine Janet Pulley, who said she took the course despite herself.
"They tried to tell me, we'll get you the top this and the top that and we'll get you a more radio-friendly sound and we'll da-da-da-da," Ms. Keys recalled.
But when a meeting was held of contractors and NGO aid groups in Baghdad, "no one wanted it, so we took it," Keys recalled.
As a key informant recalls, "These meetings [of the HRH Working Group] were completely dominated by [two donors] having their ideological fight effectively.
"He had a key," Hannah recalled.
"Win was the key man," recalled Jeane Hamilton, 74, doyenne of the Little Rock arts community.
As Mr. Sherpa fished for his duplicate key, he recalled, he felt the first blow.
"All the Italian I knew was chiave (pronounced kee-AH-vay)," Italian for key, she recalled.
