"I kind of hung around the nun, because she kept the other kids from bothering me".

The orphanage was run by Felician nuns, a community of Polish women, who kept the boys on a strict regimen.

Although the Vatican struggles to keep nuns subjugated, it may have already forfeited this fight.
"The nuns kept you so busy with venal sins that the idea of mortal sin was kind of beyond your imagination," he said.
