In 2017 Turnbull government ministers Greg Hunt, Alan Tudge and Michael Sukkar narrowly avoided contempt of court charges by apologising for comments during an active terrorism case calling Victorian court of appeal justices "hard-left activist judges" who engaged in an "ideological experiment" in sentencing.
From watching them she learned what she would later say about life: that good-enough people, often just by trying to make some adjustment in their circumstances, fall into sin and error; that you can gather this only by what you hear at the end of the table; that life is comical and sad, and justice hard to render.
And many majority clans still refuse to so much as eat from the same plate as a Midgaan, making the barriers to social, political, and economic justice hard to overcome.
