It has therefore been suggested that patients with traumatic brain injury are particularly likely to benefit from advanced prehospital interventions that may treat or prevent these insults. 1 Approaches to providing such interventions have varied across jurisdictions with physicians, or paramedics and nurses with advanced training used as prehospital care providers.
"More than half of the public now resides in jurisdictions where the physician-supervised use of cannabis therapy for qualifying patients is legal, and over 85percentt of voters acknowledge that cannabis is a safe and effective treatment that ought to be permitted.
The public could also benefit from a presentation of evidence about actual experience from the various jurisdictions that permit physician-assisted death.
There has been a sudden decline in the number of rural communities across Canada offering local maternity care since 2000 [ 1- 3] due to a confluence of factors including the regionalization of health services delivery in many jurisdictions [ 4], physician recruitment and retention challenges [ 5], limited access to midwives [ 6, 7], and diminished access to nurses trained in obstetrics [ 8].

Whereas some of our findings may be specific to our study population, most of our findings are likely generalizable across North American jurisdictions due to similar physician and patient populations.
