Not all departments support joint concentrations, but those that do will usually require that you undertake a senior thesis that integrates the two disciplinary areas.
The department offers joint concentrations in Ancient History (Greek & Roman), East Asian History, Near Eastern History, African and African American History, and History and Anthropology.
The concentration has also approved joint concentrations with other area studies and literatures, such as AAAS and Germanic Languages upon consultation with the DUS.
