To evaluate the process of a job-specific workers' health surveillance (WHS) in improving occupational health care for construction workers.
This questionnaire was part of a larger study to gather information to develop a job-specific workers' health surveillance programme for hospital physicians in all academic medical centers in the Netherlands.
Using a job-specific workers' health surveillance programme, the mental health conditions of physicians can be monitored to identify physicians showing early signs of developing a common mental disorder and to intervene accordingly to decrease these complaints.

Youth workers rarely enter the field with job specific training.
Job Specific data are collected for each job performed by a worker during a work shift.
In particular, they cannot adapt the technological characteristics of the job to the skill composition of available workers nor to the skills of the specific workers they are matched with.
Job specific data are collected to determine all different activities (tasks) performed by the worker and related information (Table 2) (Additional file 2).
In cases where the job parameters substantially change, or the worker moves to a different job all together, the new/revised jobs are measured using all the job specific data forms (Additional file 2).
To control the environment in which a job executes, it can also be mapped to a specific worker or a set of workers that provide the specific runtime environment required by the job.
After attending their job-specific WHS, the workers were asked to participate in the study and complete the informed consent and baseline questionnaire.
