The discussion of each item in this paper follows a standardized format.
The survey items analyzed for this paper were part of a larger questionnaire administered in a mixed-methods study exploring the determinants of physician well-being [ 31].
Third, we studied the practical consequences of item misfit in this paper; it is possible in future research to study the practical consequences of multidimensionality; for example, there is a close relationship between DIF and multidimensionality (e.g., Camilli 1992) and it would be of interest to study the practical consequences of multidimensionality on DIF.
