The quality of trials was assessed using items for selection bias, treatments, outcome measurement statistical methods, and outcome assessment.
We anticipate that our present results will serve as a useful reference for clinicians attempting to devise an evaluation scale, and that further research will focus on the optimal number of items, the fittest items for selection, and the allocation of marks in rigorous methodology to maximize the linearity of the BPRS.
