With respect to the distracter items, recognition accuracy for the controls (M = 0.91, S.E.M. = 0.01) and the Alzheimer patients (M = 0.71, S.E.M. = 0.06) differed significantly, with the patients performing worse than the controls (t 39) = 3.4, p<0.002).
