The value of the film production company no longer lies in its physical scale, but in the people and ideas it generates, said Oleg Berezin, head of St Petersburg film studio Nevafilm.
"It is impossible to easily evaluate the value of a business and the amount of income it generates," said Arthur I. Weinstein, a lawyer who is vice president of the Council of New York Cooperatives and Condominiums.
GL: We establish yearly contracts, charging so much per month for an office space after we do an audit on the business and establish that it generates, say, 50 bags of garbage in a set amount of time.

"One of the profound things about culture is the amount of indirect employment and spending it generates," she said.
