Once one of Britain's industrial centres the last century has not been Wolverhampton's finest, with industrial closures pushing up unemployment.
One of the local schools preparing to take part in the "Ladybirdspotting" project this term is Wolverhampton's Trinity Church of England primary school.
The least prosperous areas in the UK are Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Blackpool, Liverpool and East Derbyshire, according to the study.
But the fact is, Wolverhampton Grammar is just continuing a proud British tradition of bringing licensed booze into completely inappropriate locations.
So too is Wolverhampton, a small city west of Birmingham, and Hull, a city in east Yorkshire.In Hartlepool, 28% of shops are empty, according to the Local Data Company, a private research firm.
Anywhere, it's safe to say, but Wolverhampton.
"We're used to turning up at Lingfield and Wolverhampton so it's nice to have our day in the sun," said Usher.
"No, this is the nicest little town around: 12 miles from Wolverhampton, but it's like you're in a different world.
"Whilst it's fair to say that Wolverhampton took a battering during the recession with private investment pulled, traditional industries closing down and massive Government cuts, we're now seeing some really positive signs of recovery," he said.
