At his press conference, the President dodged the issue of constitutional amendments that might overturn the Court's ruling, but suggested that Americans pray more at home and in church: "That power is very much open to us".
The issue of First Amendment rights arises briefly, and viewers can vote at the VH1 Web site (www.vh1.com/insidevh1/ shows/newsspecials/haterock/) on whether such bands should be banned from performing.
But even after its transformation into a full-fledged political operation, the organization's rhetoric usually focused on its core issue of Second Amendment rights.
"The issue of the Second Amendment came up and Fried is pretty much a Second Amendment absolutist.
At issue are a series of amendments added by the House and the Senate to the National Defense Authorization Act, the annual military budget bill.
"From our point of view, this is an issue of broader First Amendment principle," said Lee Rowland, the A.C.L.U.
The other, Governor Pataki, who has spent a considerable amount of time courting the gay and lesbian community, has also publicly disagreed with the president over the issue of a constitutional amendment.
More insidious is the whole issue of the second amendment.
"But if they have a contract to perform certain duties, and they violate that contract … then it's not an issue of the First Amendment.
Moreover, the scalability issue of 802.11 and its amendments such as 802.11n has not been well addressed.
The Times reported, "Mr Perkins's hand could be seen in dozens of amendments on issues like gun control, religious expression, and bathroom use".
