MIAMI, July 13 (AP) — Amid tight security, Jose Padilla, the American citizen once accused by the Bush administration of plotting to detonate a radioactive "dirty bomb," is being permitted to see classified government documents in advance of his trial on charges of conspiring to wage and support international terrorism.
In an interview with The Post, Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mr. Trump's personal lawyer, said the president is attacking the Justice Department because it is "working". He also indicated that the president would not sit down with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III unless Mr. Trump's defense team was permitted to review classified documents on the informant.
Committee members and a few aides are permitted to review classified intelligence in a secure room under the Capitol.
Those hopes have to be dampened now that a key arm of the American security apparatus has been permitted to keep its own story classified forever.
Classified employees are permitted to exercise the right as individuals to sign a petition favoring a candidate for any office, but they may not do so as Government employees or as a group or association of Government employees.
So, in essence, patients are "classified" according to a code and are permitted to receive treatment deemed appropriate through "evidence".
Though the final text of the bill was not immediately available, it appears that under the legislation, JPMorgan would still be permitted to realize savings of about $4 billion based on how it classifies certain required payouts under the tax code.
It points to trials where the government was permitted to have anonymous witnesses and trials where the defense received delayed and partial access to classified evidence.
Lawyers are permitted to share with detainees legal communications or publicly filed documents, but they are not allowed to pass classified or "protected" information to clients.
