"Pets are less disposable than they were a generation ago," said Jim Humphries, a veterinarian in Colorado Springs, who regularly gives pet advice on CBS's "Early Show".
But at the same time, it's impossible to deny that hip-hop culture has turned out to be less disposable than it once seemed.
"When the recession hit, there was less disposable income and consumers were worried about gotta-haves instead of want-to-haves," said Marty Brochstein, the senior vice president for industry relations and information at the association.
"When the bills come in after the Christmas shopping, there will be less disposable income in people's pockets because of the increase in expenditures for oil, which they can't avoid," he said.
Essentially, the investment in a prototype is larger than that in a sketch, hence there are fewer of them, they are less disposable, and they take longer to build.
"Maybe games can learn to be less disposable," he says.
Women are less disposable than men, so they need a better repair and thus live longer [ 1].
