WASHINGTON — The rollout of President Obama's health care law may have deeply disappointed its supporters, but on at least one front, the Affordable Care Act is beating expectations: its cost.
While he acknowledged the negative effects of the "sovereign debt crisis" in Europe and myriad problems elsewhere, he also said: "Signs of growth are very strong and incoming data is beating expectations, and this is true in all major economies, in all major regions around the world".
"New store performance is beating expectations and remodels are outperforming the fleet by an average spread of 5 comp points," he said.
