Normally during the June solstice months (May August) in the Brazilian sector, large-scale ionospheric irregularities in form of plasma bubbles are rarely observed.
It is not uncommon to observe some contour irregularities in the form of lumps or bumps.
Atomic force microscopy demonstrated that the recording surfaces have nanoscale irregularities in the form of elevations and depressions, which contribute to increased current per unit area that exceeds previously reported microelectrode designs.
Additionally, the model is extended to incorporate the capability to model transition due to surface irregularities in the form of backward-facing steps with maximum non-dimensional step sizes of approximately 1.5 times the local displacement thickness of the boundary layer where the irregularity is located (i.e k/δ∗⪅1.5) at upstream turbulence intensities in the range 0.01<Tu<0.8.
This might be explained by the spherical aberration induced that leads to a more uniform and more radially symmetric distortion pattern compared to baseline, which will result in a reduction of the irregularities in the form of spikes surrounding the light source.
In contrast, in the central part of the lesion, irregularity in the tumor surface pattern and form as well as in the diameter and distribution of microvessels was observed; however, due to mucus, avascular areas were also observed (Fig. 3b).
Further, magnifying endoscopy with NBI revealed that the surface pattern was slightly irregular and microvessels had a regular diameter and distribution in the margin of the lesion, but in the central part of the lesion, irregularity in the tumor surface pattern and form as well as in the diameter and distribution of microvessels was noted.
