Two simple measurements of feasibility were: 1) ability to use real-time EHR data to identify patients eligible for each intervention step, and 2) ability to offer affordable testing and follow-up care for uninsured patients.
Step 1 consists of a needs assessment; steps 2, 3 and 4 involve the initial development of the intervention; step 5 consists of planning for implementation; and step 6 involves evaluation and refinement of the intervention.
We were also able to successfully embed our registry tools into the EHR, and use real-time data to identify patients eligible for each intervention step.
In addition, the contact person will be assigned to establish a steering committee with the different company stakeholders (i.e. the CEO, prevention worker, work planners, foremen, and construction workers (i.e., blue-collar workers)), and to reserve financial budget for the intervention (step 1a).
Although two studies [ 49, 53] reported significant increases in the number of steps after the intervention, they failed to report baseline and post-intervention step counts for the control group which precludes further evaluation and comparison of groups.
Our intervention, however, followed accepted steps for sustainable change and thus might be replicable for other providers, too. 4 Similar activities have been launched in other Swiss hospitals, 24 25 but economic effects have not yet been evaluated as thoroughly as in our project.
Similar recommendations for a rehabilitative approach in children are given from authors working in the field of paediatric liaison [ 17, 18]: Steps for intervention include; A de-emphasis on a final diagnosis, Use of benign remedies, Reinforcement of wellness [ 17, 18 ], Reinforcement of well behaviour, Encouragement of participation in everyday activities [ 2 ].
In a statement released hours before Hamas announced the death of the captured man, the Italian Foreign Ministry said that it had been carrying out "the appropriate steps for every intervention to protect our citizen".
The step log also allows for the collection of brisk steps for the intervention group.
