This dynamic may affect the local governments' responding strategies and central government's intervention paths, which eventually help protests achieve success.
The pressing nature of these challenges should not, however, obscure the fact that, at the programmatic level, there is strong evidence on effective intervention paths.
2. Cost of healthcare - average expenditure of hospital admission for over 50% of selected diseases declined significantly after the implementation of the clinical treatment paths in the intervention groups, while this did not change much in the control group.
A lagniappe here is the precise, targeted nature of the intervention: The path between the goal, the action, and the outcome is clear, and the overhead is minimal.
Complex interventions like PaTH also have to be actively supported by the management levels to be implemented in the organisation in a sustainable manner.
Moreover, McKenzie Mohr & Smith (1999) has advocated designing interventions to provide a direct path from intervention to final behavior, for example, providing a team of professionals to empty the loft and install insulation close to the point of seeing the image.
Our method makes it possible to measure the effect not only of long-term but also short-term interventions, opening a path to quantify how much specific actions help improve quality of life in the city.
The YPAP model as applied in the Y-PATH intervention development is presented in Figure 1.
The Y-PATH intervention was developed in accordance with the present study findings; details of the intervention format are presented.
To simplify this process the Youth Physical Activity Promotion (YPAP) Model [ 37] guided the development of the Y-PATH intervention.
