Data from two projects are combined and is remarkably similar: Participants' word retrieval, as measured by picture naming, improved following an intervention using cues.
However, a more recent meta-analysis examining adherence to highly active antiretroviral (ARV) therapy concluded that interventions with cue dosing and external rewards – approaches derived from BLT -were as efficacious as those without [ 16].
This modality was incorporated in the Cues intervention because a meta-analysis of interventions designed to enhance maternal sensitivity in mothers of both preterm and full-term infants has shown that interventions that used video feedback were more effective than those that did not use this method [ 45].
