In such a context, intersectoral collaborations and pooling of resources in research, policy and program implementation, as promoted by the "one health" approach will allow financially efficient and more innovative strategies for zoonoses prevention and control.
Key thematic areas of public health human resources identified were: education, training, and competencies; capacity; supply; intersectoral collaboration; leadership; public health planning context; and priority populations.
Nutrition policy in both high-income and low- and middle-income contexts has also taken intersectoral approaches, combining public health with agriculture, economics, and food security to tackle nutritional issues [ 20- 24].
