Half of the participants had an intermediate level of education, while the other half had a university-level education, with an average age of 21 years (SD = 1.89).
SRPs were mainly male, aged 18 to 35 years, Dutch, single without children, and had a low or intermediate level of education (Table 1).
Muñoz (1995), on the other hand, finds evidence that the education has a quadratic effect, so that those individuals with little or with a lot of studies retire later than those with an intermediate level of education.
Parent's highest education level in years across mother and father was a variable available at wave 1.
