Elder Jarom Julander, one of four Mount Kisco-based missionaries, said he and the others approached people on the street and occasionally went door to door, asking if they were "interested in the message of Jesus Christ".
"Those programmes have the thrill of the encounter and the thrill of me looking like I'm about to get eaten by a great white shark, so people watch them regardless of whether they would be interested in the message," he says.
When we started, we were interested in the message of biodynamics, but it was not a business decision.
"If you're interested in the message's content, it won't get in the way, and if not, it'll make it easier to keep your inbox clutter-free.
"Terrorist groups continue to seek opportunities to carry out attacks against U.S. interests," the message said, repeating earlier warnings.
"It's time we return to government of, by and for the people, not government of, bought and paid for by special interests," the message began, and proceeded to develop that theme.
Instead, anyone who is hacking Isis and publishing information should do so in the open, releasing information to the public so that it can "operate in its interest", the message warns.
"That humankind has made it to the year 2000 is not to give humankind prosperity, and even less is it to allow humankind to continue creating karma for their own selfish interests," the message said.
"Its fundamental purpose is protecting Hungarian values and interests," the message in English says.
