L assigns a higher value to the intensities (i) closer to the mean intensity of the original image and vice versa such that the intensities (i) closer to the mean intensity of the original image receive a higher weight in the fused output image.
The estimated diffuse intensities I(h)/I0 are in good agreement with the experimental results: the offset of the diffuse intensity peak and ellipsoidal shape of the intensity having streaks towards the nearest fundamental spot.
Specifically, we analyze two important communication directions and their intensities: (i) low-to-high and (ii) low-to-low, where the first term refers to the speaker and the second to the listener.
In the following we only refer to the selection intensities (i) as this is the standardised parameter that can be directly compared with the effect of genetic drift.
Selection differentials (S) and selection intensities (i), i.e. the standardized selection differentials, were calculated for all cohorts of wolves containing both breeders and non-breeders (Table 1).
Categorical exposure categories such as these necessarily produce misclassification of intermediate intensities: (i) Intermediate intensities normally classified as medium exposures but categorized as high in this dichotomous scheme over-estimate the true exposure, thereby spuriously under-estimating risk.
The values of A, B and C are computed by non-linear least-square minimisation (Gauss-Newton algorithm) of the distance ∑ r (F r) - I(r))2 between the theoretical profile equation (1) and the measured pixel intensities I(r), at each feature location independently.
The system of Eq. (1) in the new approach is solved by allowing for the summed intensities I 1, I 2, …,I m to slightly deviate from the prescribed values of the target intensities I T1, I T2, …,I Tm.
Experimental results were fitted by two single exponents under normalized intensities (I 1 + I 2 = 1) using LT 9.0 program [21], the corresponding accuracies in lifetimes τ i and intensities I i being not worse ±0.005 ns and 0.5 %, respectively.
The computer program evaluated all 3 n' variations of the coefficients and chose one that yielded a minimal deviation of intensities I 1, I 2, …,I m from the target intensities I T1, I T2, …,I Tm.
