It is left to commentators to try to explain how such an activity is intelligible and why, if it is indeed intelligible, it should give rise to, or be experienced as, a feeling of pleasure.
The identification of greater information in posterior regions seemingly contradicts the finding that classifier weights in anterior areas were associated with increases in activity for intelligible speech and the observation of stronger univariate intelligibility effects in the left anterior STS.
But the objects of human activities are intelligible opportunities such as coming to know, being alive and healthy, being in friendship with others, and so forth – objects whose attractiveness, fittingness, opportuneness, or appropriateness is in no way dependent upon, or even much enhanced by, the thought that they are distinctively characteristic of human beings as opposed to other animals.
Moreover, given that entities are intelligible only within contexts of activity that, so to speak, arrive with Dasein, this helps to explain Heidegger's claim (Being and Time 16: 107) that, in encounters with entities, the world is something with which Dasein is always already familiar.
The nature and existence of the intelligible world is discovered by intellectual activity; the highest degree of intellectual activity is the clear and distinct perception.
These too are results of Soul's creative activity but are not intelligible entities.
This activity is performed by the active or agent intellect, which takes the "phantasms" derived from sense experience and turns them into "intelligible species".
In native English speakers, intelligible speech results in left dominant anterior temporal lobe activation [Scott et al., 2000] along with activity in the homotopic right anterior temporal cortices [Crinion and Price, 2005; Spitsyna et al., 2006].
The external activity of Soul is nature, which is just the intelligible structure of all that is other than soul in the sensible world, including both the bodies of things with soul and things without soul (see III 8. 2).
When scripts are represented using activity diagrams, both the text and symbols used should be intelligible.
