"intellectual epiphany" is a correct and usable phrase in written English.
It refers to a sudden realization or understanding of a complex or abstract concept. You can use it when discussing a moment of clarity or enlightenment in regards to an intellectual or philosophical idea. Example: "During my studies, I experienced an intellectual epiphany while reading Descartes' Meditations on First Philosophy. Suddenly, the concept of 'I think, therefore I am' became clear to me and I was able to fully grasp its significance."
I realize that, practically speaking, good grades are more important than intellectual epiphanies.
