In response Bernie Sanders, Clinton's opponent for the Democratic nomination, said he respected Clooney's "integrity and honesty on this issue" and added: "One of the great tragedies is that big money is buying elections".
"Audit papers are very important to maintain market integrity and the C.S.R.C. is ready to cooperate with other jurisdictions on this issue," Tong Daochi, the director general of international affairs at the C.S.R.C., said last week at a conference in Hong Kong.
Yet among the elites weighing in on this issue, including the president, the concept of financial integrity doesn't even enter the discussion.
One debate on this issue is that between Dworkin (1986), who champions the role of the value of integrity in interpreting the law, and those who, like Raz (1994a), and Réaume (1989), doubt whether Dworkinian integrity is a value which should be pursued in legal interpretation.
The closest thing to integrity on the steroid issue has come from Jose Canseco who, despite his occasionally bizarre behavior and statements, has been one of the few people to recognize how widespread steroid use is, the benefits of steroid use and to call for allowing PEDs in baseball.
