For each of the indicators, an ordinal scoring system was used to characterize the degree of integration, ranging from 1 to 3, where 1 = no or very limited integration, 2 = partial integration, and 3 = complete or almost complete integration.
A score of 0 represents perfect integration and 1 means complete segregation.
Exploration is then followed by integration and resolution to complete the model's phases of practical inquiry.
