Feed intake measured from group intakes were increased by 0.25 and 0.35 kg/d with bST and RUP, respectively.
Correlations between energy-adjusted alcohol intake measured from the study-specific FFQ or a closely related instrument and multiple 24 h recalls or food records generally exceeded 0.77 for total alcohol intake (Giovannucci et al, 1991; Munger et al, 1992; Goldbohm et al, 1994; Flagg et al, 2000; Wolk et al, personal communication).
In this cross-sectional study, we clearly demonstrated that dietary fish intakes measured from the interviewer-administered FFQ were correlated for plasma DHA levels among ethnic Chinese adults in Taiwan; however, the association for plasma EPA was not significant.
Previous validation study found that the energy-adjusted correlation coefficients between intakes measured from the FFQ and 24-h dietary recalls were moderate to high: the correlation coefficients for folate, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 were 0.64, 0.69, and 0.47 in men and 0.69, 0.70, and 0.47 in women, respectively (Thompson et al, 2008).
The genetic component (A) was comparatively small but significant for the majority of intake measures examined; the estimates from full ACE models are therefore shown in Table 4.
