Next, cell intensity files (.CEL) generated by the GeneTitan instrument were converted to genotype calls using the Axiom Genotyping Algorithm version 1 (Axiom GT1) available through Affymetrix Power Tools or Genotyping Console™v4.1 software package.
In this analysis, generic HRQoL scores from the SF-36 instrument were converted into EuroQol-5D, (EQ-5D) health utility scores [ 28], by use of a method adopted from Rowen et al. [ 29] (figure 1).
Measurements derived from the Lunar instruments were converted to equivalent Hologic values using standard reference formulas [ 15, 16].
