TONY FEHER Lapidary installations of impeccably arranged junk have been Feher's stock-in-trade for more than a decade, well before "unmonumental" became the dominant sculptural style.
Maria Loboda's newest installation, an artfully arranged flower bed called "Smoking Room in a Private Palais in Brussels as Seen From the Entrance, 1905," greets visitors as they exit the tents of the Frieze Art Fair on Randalls Island in New York.
For the 2012 installation "Sandstars," Gabriel Orozco arranged over 1,200 objects from the Isla Arena, Mexico trash repository on the Guggenheim Museum's floor, accompanied by a dozen large, gridded photographs depicting the individual objects in a studio setting.
