The decline in omnivores was completely explained by effects on Formicidae (E = −0.43±0.31, n = 24) and removal of this group led to an insignificant effect size (E = −0.05±0.33, n = 21).
The subgroups of either isometric, concentric-eccentric, or purely eccentric contraction type showed comparable (statistically insignificant) weighted averaged effect sizes of 0.95, 0.82, and 1.04, respectively.
