Click the "Insert Footnote" button.
In MS Word, click on "Insert" and then "Insert Footnote".
Select Type>Insert Footnote from your Control panel.
Click "References" on the ribbon bar in Microsoft Word, and hit "Insert Footnote".
In Microsoft Word, you would go to the References tab, click on the Footnotes group and select "Insert Footnote".
The easiest way to add a footnote is to click "Reference" in the ribbon bar and then click on "Insert Footnote".. Place the citation in the footnote: "Reg Smith, 'The Effects of Geothermal Cooling,' Renewable Energy Sources, last modified April 12 , 2009
