Our goal was to use an ICBL approach with the ACL injury difference problem to couple two courses in two different institutions and disciplines into a coherent case-based learning experience, one that would have model builders creating models that experimenters could implement leading to predictions about the solution to the problem itself.
The goal was for the two different populations of students to collaboratively develop insight into possible factors in the ACL injury difference phenomenon that would not have been obtained separately from any other source.
