We examined the fractionation of executive functioning performance in ninety patients with schizophrenia, who were tested for initiation, sustained attention, switching/flexibility, attention allocation and impulsivity/disinhibition. The participants were also given tests of general intelligence and memory.
A growing body of evidence supports the notion that only a small subset of cells within a tumor, termed cancer stem cells (CSCs) or tumor-initiating cells, are capable of both tumor initiation and sustaining tumor growth [1].
