The inhibitory effect of vitamin D3 seems to be similar to that of IL-27, which inhibits the lineage commitment of TH17 cells [33, 41 43 51] and induces IL-10 production, which, in turn, suppresses EAE initiation [34].
In particular, ID-1 has been shown to be required for G1 progression, and its constitutive expression inhibited the lineage commitment and differentiation in B-cells [ 13, 14].
