Visitors cause land, food, water, housing and infrastructure prices to increase at a rate closely correlated with the decline in tourism operators' margins.
Criteria used for the evaluations are availability, current energy infrastructure, price, safety, environmental impacts and social impacts.

Several sensitivity analyses were performed to determine the impact of infrastructure price, crop price, initial reservoir volume, maximum daily irrigation water volume, and the gap between actual and optimal yield, on net revenue.
Resource costs were assumed to scale positively with per-capita wealth and population density (assuming that land and infrastructure prices are generally higher where population density is higher), while maintenance costs were assumed to also scale positively with per-capita wealth.
Instances include direct investments in R&D or infrastructure, preferential pricing policies (e.g. road pricing based on emissions, preferential parking fees), subsidies for EV purchase or EV infrastructure construction and tax incentives for EVs (e.g. concerning fuel taxes, circulation taxes/motor taxes, registration/purchase taxes).
"The major difference between our marketplace and one like Airbnb or Uber is that we have a fixed supply marketplace, and we have to fit into the existing infrastructure — from pricing to inventory to sales — for a number of different verticals," said Mandal.
"Unfortunately we need to invest in the infrastructure and prices will go up".
