Several infrared adsorption bands at around 1,347, 1,446, 2,874, and 2,913 cm −1 can be related to the C H stretching and bending vibrations of the triblock copolymer F-127 [27].
We report an investigation of the formation mechanism of a gold (Au) thin-film electrode made by electroless deposition for in situ electrochemical (EC) attenuated-total-reflection surface enhanced infrared adsorption spectroscopy (ATR-SEIRAS).
The results of density functional theory (DFT) calculations and surface enhanced infrared adsorption spectroscopy data have been applied in order to establish the adsorption layer structure and possible orientation of the 4,4′ BP molecules on the Cd 0001) surface.
In addition, a strong decrease in the infrared adsorption bands at around 1,621 and 3,380 cm −1 is indicative of the decrease in the adsorbed H2O in Eu3+ ion-doped cubic mesoporous silica thin film after calcination treatment.
The data from impedance spectroscopy, electrochemical in situ scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM), surface-enhanced infrared adsorption spectroscopy (SEIRAS) and density functional theory (DFT) were measured, combined and analysed to describe the 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-BP) adsorption at Bi(111) single crystal electrode from weakly acidified 0.5 M and 0.05 M Na2SO4 aqueous solutions (pH ≈ 5.5÷6.0).
