Spatially referenced data to inform uncertainty-based dynamic models can be used to rank watershed-specific stressors and receptors to guide researchers and policymakers in the development of targeted sensing and monitoring technologies, as well as tailored control measures for risk mitigation of potable water from microbial and chemical environmental contamination.
In addition, estimating the BMD lower limit (BMDL) informs uncertainty in risk estimates.
Although maps based on remotely sensed data may provide information on the distribution of resources, map-based estimates are subject to classification and prediction error, and map accuracy measures do not directly inform the uncertainty of the estimates.
Therefore, further research and exploration of historical data that may inform the uncertainty distributions would be highly useful.
In some cases, observed variability among chemicals, in general, can be used to inform the uncertainty in an adjustment factor for a specific chemical.
Furthermore, it could provide insights into the dynamics of Hib transmission and colonization, which would inform the uncertainty over the types of Hib vaccines that are most appropriate for populations at high risk for invasive Hib disease, such as Alaska Natives (11 ).
