Indeed, following the above ideas, the complex interplay between the magma composition, molecular structure, viscous properties, and the water solution mechanisms and solubility may influence the fragmentation threshold of magmas.
Next to their pronounced effect on ionization, labels influence the fragmentation behavior of glycans and may help with the assignment of fragmentation spectra by tagging the reducing end.
As these results are driven more by the metadata used than the fragmenter behind, a variety of entries were created to assess the contribution of the individual metadata aspects, as well as a "Combined Fragmenter" entry (Combined MS/MS) to remove the influence of the fragmentation method (see "Methods" for details).
