In the contract, Kogan's psychological profiling methods are described as "less costly, more detailed, and more quickly collected" than other individual profiling methods, such as "standard political polling or phone samples".
The results are easier to interpret biologically, and the method is more accurate and robust than individual gene analysis methods, such as fold change analysis of expression levels (Subramanian et al, 2005).
These include the simple approach of excluding all individuals with missing data (termed a complete case analysis (CC)), single imputation methods such as last observation carried forward (LOCF), and more principled methods such as multiple imputation (MI).
