Around half of communities with very high and high medium Indigenous populations and over three quarters of communities with high Indigenous populations had rates of cataract surgery below the national average (see Table 4).
Areas with high medium Indigenous populations had slightly higher levels of eye exams than areas with low indigenous population when all potential confounders were taken into account.
