Populations from Southern Brazil have mainly Caucasian ancestry; while a mixed origin of African, European and Indigenous ancestry is characteristic of populations in the Northeastern region [ 22].
In this study, we selected the TC pig, a characteristic indigenous pig breed from the Hubei Province of central China with slow growth and prolific reproduction [ 31], and the YK pig, which is characterized by fast growth, low back fat, and a high lean meat percentage, to survey the differences in transcription.
We find that LULC patterns within and adjacent to the Reserve are influenced by (1) changes in land tenure regimes in newly classified Patrimony Forest, (2) petroleum exploration and production, (3) indigenous communities location, characteristics, and integration to the market economy, and (4) settlement patterns and household characteristics of colonists.
Household-level variables included an income-related variable (household expenditure); social position characteristics (indigenous heritage and head of household's education); and household-specific structural factors (size of the household and sex of the head of the household).
