Ten thousand permutations of individual genotypes among samples (either between or within groups), or whole samples among groups, tested the significance of each index of differentiation.
The latter is a combined index of differentiation status, nuclear pleomorphism reflecting genomic instability and number of cells in M phase (Elston and Ellis, 1991; Rampaul et al, 2001).
