This paper employs the graph index, average path length, clustering coefficient and three indicators of centrality, namely weighted degree centrality (WDC), weighted closeness centrality (WCC) and weighted betweenness centrality (WBC).

The data also allowed us to refine our definition of the indicators "centrality" (central leadership) and "local leadership".

The contribution of this study is to define six indicators of social capital (degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, prolific co-author count, team exploration, and publishing tenure) and investigate how these indicators interact and affect citations for publications.
