For each indicator, criteria were developed that placed the products included in the meat guide in one of three different groups, represented by the well-known traffic light system of red/yellow/green.
Scores that used to determine each indicator criteria set to be 5 levels of severity include: 0 = no injuries; 1 = Light; 2 = mild; 3 = moderate; 4 = heavy; 5 = very heavy; 0 = no injuries; 1 = Light; 2 = mild; 3 = moderate; 4 = heavy; 5 = very heavy; For criteria and indicators in the form of numerical data injuries, the determination of the score is done by processing data in groups (Table 7).
Six Indian states Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat were selected based on two state-level indicator criteria: first, the average population per branch of formal financial institution as of the end of June 2009, and second, incidences of indebtedness of rural households.
