Prolonged labour or dystocia is a common birth complication and constitutes the major indication of instrumental deliveries and delivery by emergency Caesarean section (CS) [ 1, 2].
Records with no indication of caesarean delivery or vacuum/forceps extraction were presumed to be non-operative vaginal deliveries.
The proportion of children receiving all vaccines (and all doses) offered in the national schedule provides an indication of immunization delivery.
Data on parity, indication of cesarean delivery, number of vaginal examinations, premature ruptures of membranes, duration of surgery, blood loss, type of anesthesia, BMI and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score were carefully recorded.
