Almost all biopsies showed amyloid deposits in the glomerular tuft, indicating that the glomerulus is the predominant site of amyloid deposition in the kidney.
Figure 6a illustrates the individual ORNs (image pixels) whose different colors indicate the membership to a specific glomerulus ("summary of figure 4").
Indeed, recent electron microscopic co-localization experiments in human and mouse lupus kidneys indicated that antibodies present in the glomerulus are bound to electron-dense deposits that were identified to be nucleosomal material [ 15].
Our results indicate that renal parenchymal cells, including epithelia of the glomerulus, distal tubules (DTs), and collecting ducts (CDs), fall into the urine as CGN progresses.

The glomerulus structure in the kidney section was clearly observed.
